As schools in our state prepare to reopen during continued viral transmission in communities, Governor Kemp has called on all Georgians to do the following four things for four weeks:

  1. Wear a mask when out in public or when you cannot keep distance inside.

  2. Practice physical distancing - six feet from those you don’t live with.

  3. Wash your hands for 20 seconds several times throughout the day with soap and warm water.

  4. Follow the Executive Order and heed the guidance provided by public health officials.

You may find more details about Governor Kemp’s call to action at:

As we prepare to open school, I would echo his call. We can all decrease the likelihood of viral transmission here at school if we, all together, decrease the likelihood of exposure to the virus in our personal lives. Governor Kemp has repeatedly stated that he is not mandating these calls because he trusts Georgians to “do the right thing.” For the sake of our students, our school, and other businesses that have reopened, please consider the God-ordained authority entrusted to our Governor and comply with his call to action.

I look forward to the days ahead! Please let me know if you have questions or if I can help you.
