ABOUT COVENANT

Covenant Academy is located on a thirty-five acre campus in north Bibb County. We provide a Christ-centered education using a classical methodology that is characterized by the highest standards of academic scholarship and Christian character. Covenant endeavors to see the character of Christ formed in each student’s life, while providing an educational program of academic excellence.

Our approach to education is from a classical perspective, which involves intensive phonics, whole book reading, and the introduction of Latin at early ages.  The classical approach to education is extremely beneficial in teaching critical thinking skills. Covenant Academy is the only Christian classical school in Middle Georgia! Covenant is a member of the Georgia Association of Private and Parochial Schools (GAPPS) as well as the Georgia Independent School Association (GISA). Our students compete in both athletic and interscholastic extracurricular activities. They participate throughout the year in music, art, band, drama, debate, one-act plays, and other literary activities. Our athletic department fields teams in baseball, basketball, cheerleading, cross-country, football, swimming, golf, track, softball, tennis, and soccer.

In addition to being a member of GAPPS, GISA, and ACCS, Covenant is fully accredited by the Georgia Accrediting Commission (GAC), having received its highest level of accreditation “Accredited With Quality” for all grades K3 through 12th.

Seniors of Covenant Academy have recently been admitted to: The United States Military Academy at West Point, College of Charleston, Auburn University, Furman University, Georgia Tech, The Citadel, Mercer University, Samford University, Anderson University, the University of Alabama, and the University of Georgia (UGA).
