Art has been defined as the “diverse range of human activities and the products of those activities, usually involving imaginative or technical skill." Students at Covenant Academy are encouraged and mentored in this process from their earliest days in the Grammar School throughout their time in the Logic and Rhetoric Phases of the Classical Education model.

 

Students learn the fundamentals of Art with focus on the production of art works; art criticism; and the historical study; as well as the philosophy, or study, of the beauty of art throughout time.  

 

Under the direction of Laura Bartow in the Grammar School and Jennifer Walker in the Logic & Rhetoric Schools, Covenant Academy Art students develop their gifts in the visual arts. This includes the creation of images and/or objects in the fields of painting, sculpture, printmaking, photography, and other visual media.
