. Joyful rhythms and boot scootin’ fun! 🎻✨ Friday night, Covenant 7th & 8th graders came together for our annual Covenant Corral - an evening of square dancing fun! It turns out that navigating a “do-si-do” has a lot more in common with Classical Education than you might think! Here’s how a simple folk dance brings our educational philosophy to life: * Order and Harmony: Just like the classical pursuit of truth, beauty, and goodness, a square dance relies on structural order. When everyone moves in harmony and follows the caller, something beautiful is created. We saw that in the fun of Friday night! * Embodied Community: Classical education values the whole person—mind, soul, and body. It was incredible to see students, parents, and teachers laughing, moving, and learning together outside the classroom. * Respect and Tradition: Honoring historic folk traditions teaches our students to appreciate the rich cultural heritage passed down to us. Plus, learning the etiquette of dance fosters mutual respect and chivalry among peers. Thank you to everyone who came out, volunteered their time and energy, and made this special event happen for our students! Our Rams did it! We are overflowing with gratitude for our incredible sponsors and the generous support behind this year’s Ram’s Reading Rally. In Upper School Fitness, our students are learning that training the body is part of training the whole person. They encourage one another, work hard, and follow the example of staff who model discipline and perseverance. Today we celebrate Mrs. Wood, who pulled a 205‑lb lift while her students cheered her on — strength, joy, and discipleship in motion, a picture of what it means to grow together in Christ. 💙❤️💪
